BlockShow becomes the first blockchain conference to sell tickets via an intelligent contract

Next week, BlockShow will return to Singapore for the second time after successful events in Berlin and Las Vegas. But BlockShow Asia 2018 – to be held on November 28th and 29th – stands out already. The 3,000 expected participants can purchase tickets through smart contracts based on Ethereum through a partnership with Trustee, the secure and easy-to-use blockchain service that provides the interface.

Booking of tickets on the blockchain

The intelligent DApp contract allows users to book tickets directly, without intermediaries or centralized services. Ticket ownership is granted once the transaction is confirmed in the blockchain, while participants can also give away tickets to other people after purchase. The account that bought the ticket is able to transfer it to any other account without limits or intermediaries, in the same way as any other cryptocurrency. And since this is a decentralized solution, there are no limits to the use of other portfolios and interfaces.

This application offers a valid test point for the suggestion that blockchain could transform the ticket industry, which has long struggled with fraud and price control, thanks in part to the secondary markets difficult to crush. With digitized tickets, sales and operations are decentralized. And on the blockchain, every ticket has a unique identity that can not be falsified.

Crystal

Another interesting partnership that Blockshow announced this year is with a large Bitfury blockchain company. This idea appeared when a group or individual who used fake identities threatened to sabotage BlockShow Asia 2018 with explosives. In addition to reporting threats to the police and increasing security during the event, the BlockShow organizers wanted to give participants the opportunity to recognize the risks that accompany the bitcoin's promise, and to get more information about your vulnerability.

Crystal, who has assisted financial institutions and order forces in identifying and tracking down criminal activities, assigns a risk score based on every bitcoin address that has ever appeared in the blockchain. All BlockShow Asia 2018 participants will have access to Bitfury software and will be able to scan the QR code of their crypto-wallets to get their risk scores.

The conference next week will present keynote speakers such as Bobby Lee, Vincent Zhou, Stanley Yong and Jason Hsu. You can find the complete list here. In addition, collateral events during Asia Blockchain Week will include an open day for accelerators and hubs, an influencer event, a pre-party, an after-party and more.

Another VIP event, Nightshow, will take place in a business lounge on both days of the conference and is exclusively reserved for BlockShow speakers and VIP guests. Nightshow will have panels and speakers, including Crypto Finance board member Marc Bernegger, Radmis co-founder Penny Wong and Chainrock member Jeremy Show. Tickets for participants cost 1.5 ETH, while tickets for investors are twice the price.
