And we’re another month behind in 2020 … As November draws to a close, NASA has confirmed that an asteroid named 153201 2000 WO107, the size of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, will dart past Earth.
Right now, it is moving at full throttle at speeds of around 56,000 mph or 90,124 km / h, or so, as it prepares to collide with Earth’s orbit.

According to reports, the massive rock is set to pass at a distance of approximately 4,302,775 km from the earth. And the event will apparently take place at 01:08 on November 29th. Are you feeling better by the end of the year? In perspective, the dimensions of the asteroid are approximately between 12.00 feet and 2.5700 feet in diameter with a diameter of approximately 2,690 feet.

Interestingly, the object, classified as Near Earth Asteroid (NEA), was discovered by scientists in New Mexico on November 29, 2000. There is talk of life returning to its starting point, head-on. Spacereference.org says it has been called “potentially dangerous”.
There are around 1,031,488 of these “Rocky and airless remnants left by the first formation of our solar system some 4.6 billion years ago,” says NASA. Huge size or not, it won’t be visible to enthusiastic astronomers.
