Amazon has record holidays

On Wednesday, November 26th, Amazon announced it had a record-breaking holiday season in 2018, with more articles ordered worldwide than any other year.

In a press release, the e-commerce giant said customers shopped at record levels for a range of products in each department. Some of the best sellers of the season were Echo Dot, L.O.L Surprise! Glam Glitter Series Doll, fashion items from Carhartt and Bose QuietComfort Wireless Headphones.

Amazon has also announced that Prime registrations have grown during the holiday season, with tens of millions of people who have started free trials or have paid the enrollment to have free access to daily shipments of a day or two days and free two hour delivery with Prime Adesso. The company stated that millions of items in the United States were shipped with Prime Promotions for free shipping during the holidays.

"This season has been our best, and we are looking forward to continuing to bring our customers what they want, in the most convenient way for them in 2019. We are thrilled that in the United States alone, more than 1 billion of items shipped this vacation free with Prime, "said Jeff Wilke, Worldwide Consumer CEO, in the press release. "Thanks to our employees all over the world who are committed to offering our customers the widest selection of products with low prices and fast and free delivery options during the holidays and all year."

The best selling Amazon devices during the holidays were the brand new Echo Dot, Fire TV Stick 4K with the brand new Alexa Voice Remote and Echo. Customers have purchased millions of Amazon Fire TV, Fire Table and Kindle products. The eCommerce giant has noticed that Ring and Blink has sold more devices during the holidays than ever before and that have been sold a record number of smart home devices, with Amazon Smart Plug, Ring Video Doorbell 2, TP-Link Kasa Smart Plug Mini Outlet and iRobot Roomba 690 comes in as best seller.

First-class electronics including Bose QuietComfort 35 (Series II) wireless headphones, Samsung 65 "4K UHD Series 8 LED Smart TV, Apple iPad (Wi-Fi, 32 GB) in Space Gray, Wemo Mini Smart Plug, Blue Yeti USB Microphone in Blackout, Wyze Cam 1080p HD Indoor wireless smart home camera and HP sprocket photo paper.
