Was there a misdiagnosis or, worse, neglect? Today there is a hospital in Val-d’Oise accused of being the source of a family group. Originally an 87-year-old woman hospitalized in Eaubonne for a drug overdose. After more than a month of observation and with the green light from the doctors, the institute let her go. But things will quickly go wrong, they report The Parisian.

The woman’s health deteriorates very quickly the next day. It is increasingly difficult to breathe. Her 10 children and their families have the right to visit her to help or feed her. Faced with his anguish, they call SOS Médecins. The doctor ausculates the elderly woman, prescribes the treatment, but also a PCR test.

Just four days after she was released from the hospital, she died. A few hours later the test result fell: she died of the coronavirus. In the process, eight of her children also become infected and one of her grandchildren. In all, seven members of her family must be hospitalized, including two in intensive care in serious condition. They blame the hospital for not testing the mother before she returned home, and therefore for putting an entire family in danger.

Serious negligence according to them, which therefore intend to file a complaint. The hospital specifies that the tests they are not systematically practiced before going home, only in case of suspicious symptoms.
