Journalist Carlo Laudisa notes that the 47-year-old Italian coach is working out the details to replace the current Romanian champion for Dan Petrescu. At the same time, the cited source notes that the future CFR technician will choose between Pecchia and Edward Iordănescu.

Fabio Pecchia is a former Italian international and began coaching in 2011 when he took over the modest Italian team, Gubbio. In the 2012-2013 season he was the coach of the Latin team, after which he made a very inspired move in his career. Pecchia joins the staff of Rafa Benitez, with whom he works in Naples, Real Madrid and Newcastle. In 2015-2016, Pecchia was Rafa Benitez’s second at the Santiago Bernabeu and worked with great footballers such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Sergio Ramos and Luka Modric. From 2016 he chooses to go on his own and takes the helm of Hellas Verona, where he lasts two seasons.
