The event started today Bucharest Gaming Week, 2020 edition, and this is the largest event dedicated to the video game industry in Romania. In 2020 it will take place exclusively online, in the context of the Coronavirus pandemic. We have details on the conferences and related events, which take place between November 16th and 22nd.
This is the fourth edition of Bucharest Gaming Week and takes place on the dedicated website www.bucarestgamingweek.ro, and access is free. During a week, game fans in Romania will be able to participate in discussions on the impact of games on society and at the weekend they will be able to meet their favorite content creators with whom they can play the most popular games. Overall, BGW is also an opportunity for our game makers to exhibit their latest creations.
BGW 2020 central event will take place on the weekend of November 21-22. Here are some other interesting events of this edition:
France Home of the players: webinar held on November 17 at 18:00 and presented by the French Institute in Romania. It is dedicated to promoting the French experience in higher education in the video game industry. The discussion can be followed on the Facebook page of the French Institute
Use of video games in Romania: takes place on November 19 and is a debate that analyzes the recently launched study on the relationship of Romanians with video games. The study is conducted by the Association of Romanian Video Game Developers (RGDA) and shows that 7.9 million Romanians play on phones, PCs, consoles or tablets. The discussion will be attended by Matei Psatta, social media specialist and co-founder of TPS Engage, Tudor Rohozneanu of Vodafone Romania, Cosmin Baba, creative director of V8 Interactive and Ana-Maria Ghiurca, Online Marketing Manager of BCR.

“Women in Gaming” panel: Also on Thursday at 6pm, game development studio Amber launches a discussion on the role of women in the gaming industry
The “Children’s Relationship with Video Games” panel: led by psychologist Yolanda Cretescu invites parents to a sincere debate on what a healthy relationship between children and games means. It takes place on Friday 20 November from 7.30 pm.
The weekend event includes 3 scenes: Main Stage, Esports Stage and New Games Stage, where eSports competitions, content creation tournaments and more are held.
