The new Samsung Smart Monitor offers many connectivity options for both PC and smartphone. For a full desktop experience, using a mobile device, users can connect to the monitor with Samsung DeX.
For remote homework and school, the display manages Microsoft Office 365 applications without a connection to a PC thanks to built-in Wi-Fi, allowing users to view, edit and save documents in the cloud directly from the monitor. Remote access also allows users to wirelessly and remotely access files on a computer or view content on their laptop, whether it is in another part of the home or office. The USB Type-C port provides data, display and power through a single connection, up to 65W, keeping the area around the monitor clear. Several USB and Bluetooth 4.2 ports allow for greater connection versatility, while the display features a built-in dual-channel speaker.
During business hours, the display also functions as a full entertainment hub, with the ability to stream content via Samsung Smart Hub. The monitor’s app store allows users to transfer their favorite content, such as Netflix, HBO and YouTube, even without connecting to a computer or mobile device. You can easily access the content using the remote control, which includes the streaming service hotkeys. The display can also be controlled by voice thanks to the integration of the Bixby support service.
Smart Monitor also features technology designed to make the viewing experience more comfortable. Adaptive Image function optimizes image quality to suit any viewing environment by automatically adjusting brightness and color temperature to suit camera conditions. This ensures the most comfortable viewing experience in any environment, reducing eye strain even after prolonged use. The monitor is also equipped with a view save mode to reduce blue light.
The monitor is available in two models since launch. The M7 allows for 32-inch Ultra-High Definition (UHD) resolution, while the M5 allows Full HD (FHD) resolution in 32-inch and 27-inch options.
Samsung Smart Monitor will be available in Romania from December.
