Charlie Lee, the founder of litecoin (LTC), he did waves on Twitter after publishing a Sunday post that proclaimed that some Bitcoin (BTCthe maximalists are more rightly described as extremists, given their views on the altcoin market.
In Tweet, which included a poll to allow its next vote on how they looked, Lee states that a select part of the Maximalists of Bitcoin thinks that all other coins are scams that will go to zero.
Some self-proclaimed maximalists of Bitcoin are actually Bitcoin extremists. They think that all the other coins are scams and will go to zero.
Maximalists think that Bitcoin is and will remain the dominant cryptocurrency, but there is room for the altcoins to exist and even do well.

Lee's post sparked the debate between the crypto-elite, with many industry leaders intervening to share their opinion. Mostly, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao, said: "It will be interesting to see how it unfolds, but I believe in thousands of blockchain and millions of tokens, freedom implies choice."
With 28,478 votes, the final results show 48% of the followers of Lee who describe themselves as maximalists of Bitcoin, while 33% consider themselves as maximalist altcoins. Only 9% would go as far as to call themselves extremists of Bitcoin, which was less than 10% who replied in a strange way to "nocoiner", a term that describes someone who does not invest or does not use cryptocurrencies.
While Lee's post may seem anti-Bitcoin to some, it's worth noting that it is on the register saying investors should have at least 1 bitcoin (BTC) before buying any altcoin, including Litecoin.
