The US economy added 157,000 jobs in July. This is less than expected and the slowest job growth for July in five years. On the positive side, it is the 94th consecutive month of economic growth. The unemployment rate fell to 3.9%

MoviePass is going through a difficult period, but says it is still standing. The movie subscription service admits that it is going through a difficult period, but states that "it is no different from what the other disruptive companies have experienced in the early days". The statement follows a series of unfortunate events for the company, including two interruptions because it had no cash to pay bills.
